I’ve been a DJ for more than 20 years and have spent the last 15 years specialising in weddings.
Born in Cologne with Persian roots, I grew up between two cultures. Persian music and traditions were part of my home, while growing up in Germany exposed me to European and international music from an early age. That combination still shapes the way I play today.
My weddings are not only about the DJ set. I combine the music with live percussion and darbuka, bringing another level of energy and interaction to the dance floor. It has become one of the signature moments of my weddings.
But every couple is different — and so is every wedding.
Before your wedding, we plan the music together. I want to understand what you actually listen to, which songs mean something to you and what kind of atmosphere you want to create. You can create a Spotify playlist for me so I can get to know your musical taste. And just as important: you can give me your No-Go list.
I’m also happy to meet you via video call before the wedding. It gives us the chance to get to know each other, talk through your plans and make sure that what you have in mind can be translated into the right music and atmosphere on the day.

A great wedding is not about playing one genre all night. It is about reading the room, understanding the guests and knowing when the energy needs to build, change or breathe.
My sets combine Persian music with the international music you and your guests know and love. Persian classics and modern Persian tracks can move naturally into international mainstream, English hits, R&B, Hip-Hop, House, Afrobeats, Latin and Oriental music.
The goal is not to force different genres together. It is to make the transition feel natural. At multicultural weddings, there may be several generations, nationalities and musical tastes in the same room. My job is to bring them onto the same dance floor.

Because I grew up with Persian culture and music myself, I understand the balance between tradition and a modern wedding celebration. From Persian classics and modern Persian music to the moment the dance floor opens, the music should feel familiar to your family while still reflecting who you are as a couple.
And my experience goes beyond the DJ booth.

The Sofreh Aghd is one of the most beautiful and symbolic traditions of a Persian wedding — the ceremonial spread the couple sits before during the aghd. Mirrors, candles, flowers, sweets and spices, each carrying its own meaning.

From a villa in Italy to a celebration in Spain, France, Greece or elsewhere in Europe, destination weddings bring people together from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. That is exactly where my experience with multicultural weddings becomes especially valuable.
I work with couples and wedding planners before the event to prepare the music, timeline and important moments in advance — so that when everyone arrives, the focus can be on the celebration.
For destination weddings, I travel throughout Europe and can coordinate directly with your planner, venue and technical team regarding the DJ setup and requirements. The technical side is handed over in writing — see the technical rider.

DJ & Live PercussionWhen the DJ steps out
from behind the booth.
One of the signature elements of my weddings is combining the DJ set with live percussion.
At the right moment, I step away from the booth, pick up the darbuka and bring the music directly onto the dance floor. The interaction changes immediately. Guests are no longer only dancing to the music — they become part of the performance.
Live darbuka works especially well with Persian and Arabic music, but also with House, Afro House and international tracks.
It is not a separate show that interrupts the party. It becomes part of the DJ set.

Arabic weddings have an energy of their own.
My sets can combine Arabic and Oriental music with modern international sounds — from Dabke and Arabic favourites to Afro House, House and international dance floor tracks.
Especially at multicultural Arabic weddings, the challenge is not simply knowing the individual genres. It is knowing how to move between them without losing the dance floor. Traditional moments can remain traditional. Later in the night, Oriental sounds can meet Afro House and international club music naturally.
Live darbuka adds another dimension to this combination and brings the percussion directly into the crowd.

Some of my favourite weddings are the ones that cannot be described by a single genre or culture. Persian and German. Persian and British. Arabic and European. Couples living in one country, marrying in another, with guests travelling from around the world.

Which countries do you travel to?

What is live darbuka at a wedding?
The darbuka is the goblet drum at the centre of Persian and Arabic
music. At the right moment I step away from the DJ booth, pick up the darbuka and bring the
music directly onto the dance floor. It is not a separate show that interrupts the party —
it becomes part of the DJ set.
Do you play Persian and international music in the same night?

Do you provide sound and lighting for destination weddings?
For destination weddings the sound and lighting is supplied by your
venue or a local production company, which keeps costs down and avoids shipping equipment
across borders. I provide a detailed technical rider your planner or supplier can work from

How far in advance should we enquire?
Peak-season Saturdays between June and September are frequently reserved
12 to 18 months ahead. I take one wedding per weekend, so the date is either open or it is
not.
